Sally the snake was so excited for the Sunny Sunshine Race that was taking place in a few hours. She could not keep herself calm, so she decided to start slithering her way to the starting line. On her way there she bumped into Susan the snail. “Hello Susan, how are you?” asked Sally. Susan stopped in her tracks and replied, “Hi Sally, I very tired but super excited for the race.” Before Sally could say another word Susan was chatting again “I have been traveling for hours so that I can get to the race” mentioned Susan and started muttering to herself. Sally looked at Susan the snail and asked “May I help you Susan?” Susan the snail just looked at Sally the snake with a confused expression on her face. “You are more than welcome to sit on top on me, seeing that you are so small and I am so big.” Susan was very grateful and made her way onto Sally’s long body.
When Sally and Susan arrived at the race, the race was a few minutes away. Sally the snake asked Susan the snail if she was taking part in the race? Susan replied saying “I was meant to but I am far too tired to take part in the race, so I will be cheering for you sally.”
Sally thought to herself and whispered to Susan “You are more than welcome to stay on top of me just like before so that we can both take part of the race.” Susan was so excited that within seconds she was already on Sally’s long body and ready for the race.
And BANG….the race had started, by the end of the race Sally the snake and Susan the snail had done their best and came in second place, Rory the rabbit came in first place. Even though Sally the snake wanted to win the race, she was very happy that she got to help her friend Susan the snail and for that Sally the snake felt like a winner.
I am busy with my teaching practical at Noddyland Nursery School and Creche - So I decided to rather write my own little story for the class than getting a book for the library.
Awww so sweet! Ive never met a snake as nice as Sally!
