Wise Words

Last night I went to a friends house, a friend that I haven't seen in two years, or maybe even longer. Him and I will always be friends though no matter what happens.  We had a little "party party", as Morne likes to say, where red wine got involved and the topic of conversation changed to relationships.  There was this one girl, Crystal, she had such wise words for all of us, 'THE BEST REVENGE IS TO LIVE A HAPPY LIFE'.

Now I have heard so many things about revenge and all that rubbish, but these wise words hit me like a ton of bricks, because it is so true.  Why do we want to get revenge buy hooking up with someone just to make your ex partner jealous, or whatever we do to seek revenge.  

By living a happy life, you are not only doing it for the right reasons but you are also helping yourself to heal.  After a relationship it is sometimes difficult to let that one person go, we have all been there but TIME heals all wounds.

I know this blog is random, but I had to share.  So if any of you are seeking some sort of revenge, seek this revenge and just live a happy life.

This past week I went for a hair appointment, sadly my dear hairdresser is leaving us and moving to Cape Town. I didn't do anything drastic, just a little trim trim.

When I saw this on HelloGiggles I was like "Ooooooh" and seriously I did say "Oooooooh" out loud.  Being girls we can do so much more than some boys.  Making ourselves look all pretty and create magic.  Nail art is a fantastic way to feel girly and to bring your creative side out all at the same time.

30 Days of Me - Day 20

Someone you see yourself marrying or being with in the future?

This question only has one answer and that is HIM.  I have liked this amazing guy since I met him in June 2010, yes we have had our fights and we have shown our "love" to each other, but yet we have never been together.  I really hope that one day in the future we have the opportunity to be together, and maybe even get married *GIGGLES*  I think if he really truly knew how much I cared for him, maybe things would be different. This special guy makes the butterflies in my tummy go WILD, even after two years and all we have been through.  He truly makes me HAPPY, just wish he would see that and allow me to make him happy too.

 

First Weekend of March

As 2012 is meant to be, this weekend was spent the right way.  I have come to the realisation that 2012 will be the year of adventure, for me, Cara Jade to step outside my bubble, and do things I would never imagine myself doing. As I read once "Life only begins when you step outside your comfort zone"

Lets sum up the weekend; Friday night Dom and I went to an exclusive gig where Desmond & The Tutus, Isochronous and the amazing, all the way from Ireland Two Door Cinema Club played.  I swear to you, this was the best live gig I have seen in a very long time. TDCC are one amazing band, as I was jamming I was so happy and just loving it.  After the show Dom dropped me off in Greenside where I met up with some friends, and WOW what an amazing night.  I got to spend the night with HIM, chatting away and just being me. Was a VERY special moment.

Saturday as a very special day, even though I only got two hours sleep, I pulled through and partied like a rock star.  I went to my dear friend Ulrica's wedding, which was so special and very emotional...WOW, I have no idea why but I couldn't stop crying. After the wedding I went to Shivas to see my friend Chris, his band Earl Grey and Croquet were playing. I defiantly stepped out my bubble for this one, I went to shivas alone and in heels....was too funny.

This guy....what a LEGEND.
