OppiKoppilicious

The time has come, the time for the BEST music festival in South Africa, its OPPIKOPPI time baby.  Every year over the long weekend of Women's Day, we get to celebrate being awesome women by attending OppiKoppi.  9th - 11th of August.

This will be my 2nd Oppikoppi, my first experience was the Wildcard in 2008.  If I could get my way I would be leaving for Oppi tomorrow, so that we can get an awesome campsite etc, but sadly we cant.

So we are set to leave on Thursday morning, I am so excited to be spending this weekend with such amazing people. 

The line-up is pretty AMAZING as well.

There are 20 000 people attending Oppi this year, so I really do believe that this year is going to be THE BEST.

Sum Up of Life....

Wow, I haven't blogged in a while. Life has been so busy. My friend and I arranged to fly our dear friend Aislinn up from Cape Town for her 21st, WHAT A BLAST. Went camping for a weekend, then it was all the planning for my dear friends Bach party, the party has come and gone, and was a great success. Been partying way to much and shopping even more.

Last weekend, some friends and I went to watch a roller derby game, OMW...what an awesome sport.  I so would love to be a derby girl, so I think I might just look into it, they do want to start a team in my hood.  So I am keen.

The topic for today is 'What makes you different from everyone else'

Mmmm....so what does make me different from everyone else? I guess just being ME makes me different already. 

I am a very true, down to earth person.  I have been told that I care to much and sometimes with that I can get hurt very quickly.  I always put others first and always try to make everyone happy, only the people that deserve to be in my life will see that though. I protect everyone that I care for, I'm very crazy and unique. I try to make the most of life. I like to surround myself with positive energy.  I recently heard that I am quiet funny  *GIGGLES*

I see the world differently and by that, I like to think I can change the world.

This past May I wrote all 5 of my exams for the semester.  I got all of my marks back yesterday morning, and to say so myself, I did pretty well.  Working hard really pays off. I have always loved nerdy boys and now I am one myself.

A night with four Engineers...

A few weeks ago I went to Vanderbijlpark to spend some time with my dear friend B.  I forgot my camera at B's place and finally got it back this past weekend.  

Spending the day with four engineer's and being the only girl is quiet interesting I must admit.  We tried to fish (sadly didn't catch anything due to the freezing weather), make a fire and keep warm under many blankets.

It was my first fishing experience and even though I did not catch anything I really felt like a pro.

Lost....

This past Saturday I took a mini road trip to Vanderbijlpark to spend some time with my B, whom I still care for....it never ends I tell you.  Anyways, it was a great day.  I took so many photo's and was going to write a mini blog about my mini road trip...but sadly, I had to go leave my camera at B's place *Sad Face*. I seriously feel so lost with out my camera. 

So as soon as I get my camera back I will continue with this blog and show you what I got up too.  Its going to be called "Four guys and a girl"

Imagine....

I would say that I came across this awesome band but I would be lying, my best friend sent me this link last week and I have fallen in LOVE with this band from Las Vegas. Imagine Dragons video to "It's Time" is such an amazing video and makes me smile every time I watch it, and that's about 5 times a day since I received the link last week.  I am CRAZY about this band.  Imagine Dragons is a four piece indie rock/pop band, which consists of Dan Reynolds (Vox), D. Wayne Sermon (Guitar), Daniel "Z" Platzman (Drums), Ben McKee (Bass).  Their first EP has been released and is called 'Continued Silence'.

This past Sunday a bunch of us went to Park Acoustics for two of my dear friends birthdays.  I was meant to study all day but I decide its my two best friends birthday celebrations, so I studied for two hours and headed to Fort Schanskop to watch Shotgun Tori, Lauire Levine, The Plastics, Shadowclub and to chill out with my people. 

It was a wonderful day.
